MARWAN ARIDI
Marwan Aridi is a Lebanese American artist with world-renowned acclaim. Arabic Calligraphy captured his heart at a very young age. The “dos and don’ts” of the art were engraved on his heart by prominent calligraphers who heard the whispers of his calling. An avid practitioner, Aridi continued to evolve the art, adding to it techniques he gained through higher education, and personal expression. He supplemented this God given talent by pursuing his higher education in the United States where he completed his Bachelors of Arts in Graphic Design in 1980, and a Masters of Arts in 1983.

Based in the United States, Aridi continued to answer his calling with full devotion for the next thirty years. In 1992, he founded Aridi Computer Graphics, Inc. (www.aridi.com); a software company specialized in fonts, drawings, and ornaments production. Today more than a million worldwide registered end-users enjoy over 50 distinguished software releases to his credit. His designs are incorporated in books, magazines, advertisements, and a plethora of commissioned artwork around the globe.

Impeccable attention to detail combined with extraordinary color coordination has distinguished Aridi’s art for decades. His art transcends cultural and historical barriers. It blends traditional Arabic & Islamic calligraphy in a new beautiful form and one-of-a-kind art. Even an unintentional review of his work leads a casual viewer to inquire about the artist. That has been the litmus test for all of Aridi’s art.

Aridi’s exhibition tour stops include Dubai, London, Paris, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, Beirut and San Francisco. Countless public, private, regional, and global awards only serve to confirm the uniqueness, influence, and reach of his creations.
